Coming Up For Air No.2 explore la tension entre la recherche de légèreté et le sentiment d'être accablée par les exigences incessantes de la vie. Dans les mois qui ont précédé cette exposition, j'ai jonglé avec la maladie, un déménagement inattendu, les visites familiales et le quotidien parental, tout en essayant de peindre. Au lieu d'une échappatoire, cette œuvre est devenue un acte de rébellion. Stratifiée, brute et sans complexe, chaque œuvre reflète le chaos, la défiance et les instants de joie fugaces qui accompagnent le fait de se créer un espace pour soi. La peinture est ma résistance, un lieu où personne ne me dicte ma conduite. Ces œuvres sont pour les femmes : pour leurs combats silencieux, leur énergie débordante et leurs racines sauvages qui poussent quand il n'y a plus d'air pour s'élever.
